On the Saturday the group was split over three sites. One lot went to Paper Mill Lock ...

.. where the task was to construct a new base for rubbish bins.

Another lot went went to Heybridge Basin where an old canoe store had to be cleared to create a storage yard,

... Plenty of old tyres here ...

... although the scenery was nice!

The main group stayed at Hoe Mill Lock.

That evening included the customery making of the garlic bread...

,.. which seemed to go down well!

On the Sunday the whole group was at Hoe Mill Lock where we had a couple of bonfires to tidy up the moorings ..

... and to clear out the main canal storage sheds.

One group got to play with a boat ...

... which was used as a skip ...

.. to enable the spoil from the newly widened landing stage ...

... to be used to make the access safer.

The weather was pleasant all weekend.
